Who Made It? [05 May 2004|01:57pm]

WOW The concert was amazing. They have come so far, and are a zillion times better than when I was with them. WOW. The concert was spectacular, their opening credits video was great- I hope they post that on the website, it's a good showcase of their mad skills and creativity. Nate Miller proposed to his girlfriend it was the sweetest thing ever. All-in-all, a wonderful concert, great group of guys, and the last concert for seniors, Kevin Kur, Ozzy, and Gavin was simply amazing. AND I bought an Exit 245 frisbee. More details are in my LJ from the night of the concert, mixed in with a bunch of other stuff though, if you want to hear more about it.
Anyone else make it out?

I remember reading in a note that this Friday Exit 245 is giving a concert at JMU...is this true? What time and exactly where? and can non-JMU students go? Because I'm thinking about driving down....

My a cappella group sang in the same invitational with Exit 245 when I was...a sophmore (2001) in college. [Of course, our group was also in the fetal stages back then, and it was our very first invitational - they probably kick a lot of ass by now, and I need to go see them in concert this spring.]

The gentlemen in the group were extremely talented, good looking, and most of all, very nice to us. They complimented our song choice, and made us feel welcome. Not bigheaded at all. It was really great of them.

Wow, I sure am glad I stumbled accross this little community.

I have to confess, I was not a big fan of a cappella untill about a half hour before the concert. It was when they were teaching Men's Chorus that Freshman song, and I realized how good it can sound and how fun it can be, especially with a group as talented and cool as Exit 245. So that changed my entire disposition on a cappella. I think I heard mrs moir saying that she's trying to bring them back in like May or June, I don't know though. Anywho, I hope more people join this community and recognize this truly talented musical group. (the short of group that you don't see very much anymore)

And can't deny the hotness, hey, even my straight guy friends agree! :)

PS -- Those are great pictures. I especially love that one picture that just half of my head and tie are in...that's my claim to fame right there!

New! [16 Jan 2004|11:23am]

Hi all. I just came across the starting of this community while browsing Fairfax Co. Community. My name is Matt and I sang with Exit 245 for...I think a year and a half while at JMU. I was so shocked and happy to see that a community had been started for Exit, so I figured, why not join?

Hello, hello!

Welcome to exit245! I just recently went to a performance at South Lakes High School by Exit 245 and decided that it's about time that they needed some exposure around here on Livejournal since I happen to spend entirely too much time on this site anyway. My first time hearing and seeing them sing was during Fall 2003 when I was down at James Madison University for a choral workshop/festival, and let me just say -- I have absolutely loved their music from the start and wish them the best in all their future endeavours.

Anyhow, I suppose that I should do a quick little introduction of myself now, which I do encourage all new members of this community to do as well.

Name: Leila
Location: Reston, VA
Age: 17
School (if applicable): Senior at South Lakes High School
Random fact: I speak, read, and write Farsi, English, Tagalog, and Arabic.

If you'd like, you can go ahead and add on more questions to this little introduction when answering them for yourself.

Also, if you have any ideas of more interest that I could possibly add to this community's user info page, then please do share them with me.
